Attainable tax credit

Receive a tax credit when you donate!

The Indiana state government is offering an Attainable Homeownership Tax Credit (AHTC) to incentivize individuals and businesses to contribute to Habitat for Humanity affiliates. This program is a vital step toward addressing the increasing demand for affordable homeownership in our community.

 

How does it work?

Tax credits may be used to offset individual state income or business taxes in 2025. When you donate to Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County, you receive a tax credit worth 50% of your donation, up to $10,000 in tax credits. This means that a donation of $2,000 could result in a $1,000 tax credit for you or your business.

How to Make an AHTC Gift

  1. Make your check payable to Habitat for Humanity of Indiana.
    (In the memo line, please specify Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County.)
  2. Download and fill out the Donor Contribution Form.
  3. Mail your check and the donor contribution form to:
